An afternoon walk.

Oh, how lovely spring break is.

Today, I am grateful for community and the things in life we take for granted.

Today, I witnessed a blind man gain his sight back after a simple twenty minute eye surgery.  It was kind of inspiring.  A couple of years ago, he began coming to our Sunday night church gatherings.  He didn't have a home or a job.  He did have a lot wisdom and perspective to share.  This year, at sixty-two, he became legally blind.  This morning, he couldn't walk two feet without assistance.  This afternoon, he could see better than he had in a year.  He could see trees again and faces and colors.  What a beautiful thing.
