The other part of our field trip (besides meeting famous artists and having a fabulous party at Chicano Park) was exploring murals throughout San Diego. We looked at four of the murals that were commissioned by the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art as part of their Viva la Revolucion exhibit highlighting street art.
Stop one: artwork by Shepard Fairy in South Park (my neighborhood).

Stop three: artwork by Chor Boogie/ Writerzblok Collaboration on top of the parking structure of Horton Plaza in downtown San Diego.
Stop four: artwork by Dr. Lakra in Barrio Logan.
