Today, I tried to soak up summer as much as I could.

What an incredibly full couple of weeks it has been. Going back to work. Saying goodbye to friends. Out of town guests. A birthday celebration. Reconnecting with old friends.

The weeks and nights have been full. Sleep has been somewhat fleeting.

It has been full of joy, but it has also been a couple weeks of challenging transition. I like to think I am the type of person who thrives on change, but the truth is that I like comfort. The comfort of a routine, being surrounded by people who know me, familiarity...

Tomorrow, I meet my new students for the year. I will wake up at 5:00 am to start the day. I hope that my head and heart are ready. Sleep will no doubt again be elusive. Another transition...
